Borowing Library Items

You need a library card to borrow books and access the databases. The initial card is FREE for Hawaiʻi residents. Applicants must present a current ID and proof of Hawaii mailing address. Here is a link to the application process.

    • The Hawaiʻi State Public Library (HSPLS) has a number of databases available to patrons who possess a library card. Library cards can be acquired for free by Hawaiʻi residents.
